StructureDropDown FAQ.

In NOF, the component is much larger then in the generated HTML page. Why is this?

When using the component with CSS/Layers-Publish options in some browsers, the drop-down is shown in the upper-left corner of the browser-window. Why?

When I select only “automatic”, why I can't go to the link of the currently selected item?

When I choose to use 'Auto' as Button-Type it isn't possible to jump to the page that is selected by default. Why ?

In NOF, the component is much larger then in the generated HTML page. Why is this?

When you use the LinkDropDownButton-Component, it is because the Button is shown larger in NOF then in the published HTML. Switch to the Image-version of the Component (you have to delete the Button-Version and insert the Image-version). In the image-version, you have to experiment with the needed size until it's perfect.

When using the component with CSS/Layers-Publish options in some browsers, the drop-down is shown in the upper-left-corner of the browser-window. Why?

This is because some browsers have a small bug with this. Solution: Make a layout-region and insert the Component there. Then it will work!

When I select only “automatic”, why I can't go to the link of the currently selected item?

This isn't possible due to a restriction in JavaScript.

This is an effect of JavaScript and I can't change it. The only way to get this is to make an entry without an link and as text e.g. 'Choose ...' as the default-selected entry.
